Comic Page 1

The first page was rather difficult to set up funnily enough, even though there is only two things on this page.

On this page I wanted to show of the first satellite in Space. Sputnik 1.

I wanted to show it above Earth.

I purposely had the shot earth placed above Russia  as this is where Sputnik 1 originated.

The Difficulty came in when I had to place Sputnik 1 on the page in a way that it wouldn't be too odd as the satellite has an odd shape to it.

On the first sketch I had everything on the lower half of the page and the words would go on the top. But I felt like this would lead to too much empty space.

In the Solid version I moved the Satellite higher but i still didn't like it.

So on the final version of the page I redrew the Earth from a different angle and followed the golden ratio so that the page could work out, Adding the moon to fill in the space was a good idea.

Originally I was going to make shading but I realised with the small amount of time I had, this wasn't possible. so I stuck to using solid colours

I used Google Earth for reference of Earth to try and get some accuracy.
