Wanderer above the sea fog by Casper David Friedrich was an inspiration for this image, as well as an old drawing I had done for my level 3 Art Board (Shown Below starring Commander Shepard from Mass Effect). I wanted to recreate the Image to fit my theme, and I wanted to draw it in photoshop. 

The Two grey scale images here were made to  play around with shadow, a new technique i wanted to try out. I personally like to draw or work in greyscale. But to fit my theme, I needed to add colour. I personally like the Black and White look for this image. Anyway the bottom Image is the final product is shown below here. For this and all other layers I made a colour to each layer, and used one of the many translucent options to show it on the layer.
