Ripe from the 80's, or to be exact 1981, Escape form New York, directed by John Carpenter, four years after his hit film Halloween came into being. This film Features The man himself Kurt Russel as Snake Plisskin, A Grumbly Hero who everybody things is dead. This isn't a bad movie, although I think one viewing is enough. I can see why this film only had one other movie dedicated to its universe (Escape from L.A) The characters in this aren't really that memorable but they serve their parts. However the post apocalyptic New York setting is particularly interesting. I thing this movie had a good idea, It just wasn't top tier material.
