The other week, I had the opportunity to watch Tropic Thunder. Directed by Ben Stiller. This Film was great. Its the Type of film that cross some lines, but the joke were so good. I believe it passes.
This Movie opens unexpectedly with fake movie ads. Which I wasn't expecting. It set the tone for the movie immediately. And that in this case is a good thing.
This film has a great cast Including Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Matthew Mcconaughey, Tom Cruise, Steve Coogan, Danny Mcbride and Bill Hader. (Tobey Macguire makes a cameo in this film.)
Robert Downey Jr's Acting for this film is the best. This is the only film that i've seen that has a American playing an Australian, playing an African American. which is wild.
Also Somehow they made Tom Cruise really gross and thats impressive.
This film could not be made in 2019. I do like the references to other Vietnam War Films. Including one of my favourites. Platoon.
