Animation 1980 - 1989

Looks like an action pack thrill ride. I would like to watch this one day.

Very action packed as well. I can agree that it is in the same style as Heavy Metal.

Interesting animation style. Two of the characters look like they came out of Peter Pan. The King looks like a nut cracker.

 

Stop Animation of a classic story.

The fist face looks like a thumb. Is this the origin story of Easter Island? Actually its starting to look like a film about ancient cultures. Filled with morphing.

The Pastel style is very interesting. its easy to look at and is quite simple. The Animator didn't seem to care for clipping. as some shots the wood is seen through the wood choppers limbs. Although it doesn't take away from the animation. Rocking Chair line dancing is something I wasn't expecting.

The amount of turning in this animation is actually amazing. The turnarounds of the landscape and of the characters are smooth.

The characters look horrifying. But the animation is hilarious. And very over dramatic, I love it.

Take on Me's music video is the best. Take on me is the Best. You can't beat aha. Also Dire Straits Music Video is solid. I remember Weird Al Yankovic doing a parody of this with the Beverly Hillbillys. Steve Baron is one of the greatest animators in music culture for sure.

I like the gritty texture of the sets in this stop-motion. There is no such thing as fall damage in this universe.

David Bowie Soundtrack! Amazing. I like the look of this movie!

Very smooth frame rate. It does look disturbing. Mainy because of the porcelain doll faces.

I've seen this before. It must of taken a very long time to make.

There is no need for backgrounds for this animation. And if there is, its very simple. The map landscape is a very cool idea. Tells you where they are without any dialogue needed. Epilepsy Warning needed though. for one scene.

Surround sound audio is used in this. I feel sorry for the dog in this. I like this animation. The story is also clear and well written.

A Dark Styled Anime. I see why it got a cult following.

Very Dramatic Anime. I Like this one too.

Well this is horrifying, I think. I'm not sure what I just watched.

The first animation the main character isn't worried that a  pumpkin man had a car accident. or that the cat just ate her fish. Also I think the world is against this women.
The second animation is a lie. The poor man just wanted to look at the ocean.
I'm so confused.

This isn't really animation. Interesting effects thought. good use of prosthetic.

The animation looks like it was drawn up with coloured pencils. This Animation has some unexpected moments in it.

I remember the stories of the infamous midnight Kiwi. I think I may of been too young to see this guy on TV. But this little fella is a staple of NZ television History.
