The Art Of Storytelling - An Activity

Three films that I would take on a Deserted Island:

How do I connect to these movies
I connected to these movies because they are creative, they are made within the realms of fantasy and that is a place that I rather enjoy, cause anything is possible and you aren't really bound by anything.

What do these three films have in common?
They are all enjoyable movies, all have one character that is struggling to survive and all have good quotes.

If I had to name these three films as a what if question, that would be...

• What if there was hope when all seems lost
• What if the chosen one was manipulated to save his loved one
• What if Aliens came to earth and couldn't leave

Who are the main characters?

• Aragorn and Frodo Baggins
• Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi
• Wikus van de Merwe and Christopher Johnson

Is there a character that I most identify with?

• Peregrin Took, Basically his entire character is me.
• Obi-Wan Kenobi, For his loyalty, his wit and his caring attitude
• None from District 9

Where does the movie take place?

• Middle Earth
• A Galaxy Far, Far Away
• The South African city of Johannesburg

What would happen if I mixed the universes and the characters from these three films?

• If anybody from the Lord of the Rings Fellowship was in Star Wars, the Republic wouldn't have fallen. The Jedi would have survived Order 66 with Aragorn's Leadership (He would be a great Jedi). Frodo's will would of held against Palpatine's manipulation (With the Help of Sam of course), and basically the Sith would be stopped. Happy Ending.

• If Anakin was in District 9, He would be a more aggressive protagonist than Wikus, Most likely he would try and kill all of the MNU by himself in anger. Obi-Wan would try and stop the abuse of the Aliens but most likely, he won't succeed. So it still would be quite depressing.

• Wikus in Lord of the Rings would be an interesting concept. He definitely would be manipulated by the ring, 100% if he was in Frodo's story-line. He would probably be a bit racist to the Ents if he was in Merry and Pippins story-line, however, if he was in Aragorn's story-line I think he might be able to have a proper chance at being a good character. Might even survive Helms Deep. Might.
