If Obi-wan was stuck in an elevator, what would happen?

Well In Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan does actually get stuck in an elevator. First he would question "Who pressed the stop button?" Then he would call R2-D2 (or the help desk depending on the situation) to fix the elevator controls. He will wait patiently till the elevator is fixed, (unless the elevator drops unexpectedly, like it did in the movie.

Anakin wants to protect Padme but he needs help from others

Obstacles

In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin has to fight against the rules of the Jedi and his own emotion to protect Padme.

Arc

Anakin at the start of the film has a dream on the death of Padme, and want to protect her from anything that will harm her, as the last time he had a dream of someone dying, they did die. So Anakin ask for help, but the only one who would 'help' him was Palpatine, who was actually a Sith lord. By the end of the film, Anakin needs the Dark Side to protect padme. However it failed, and Anakin Skywalker 'dies'

Stakes

Anakin had to make a choice when Mace Windu was going to execute Palpatine. The stakes were that if Palpatine died, Anakin believed would of lost his ability to save Padme and he would lose one of his friends, However if he lived He believed he would have guidance to save Padme, even if it led him to the dark side. These were Internal thoughts.

Frodo Baggins From Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Frodo wants to destroy the Ring but he needs to get to Mordor.

Obstacles

In the two towers, Frodo faces the terrain of Middle Earth, The Ring Wraiths, The Eye of Sauron, Sauron's Army, and the building weight of the One Ring.

Arc

In the Beginning Frodo has to get to Mordor, but does not know the way, He along with Sam, bump into Smegol who tries to take the ring from him. He and Sam have a debate on the fate of Smegol. Frodo spares him and is lead to the black gate, However Smegol prevents them from going to there original location and leads them on a "safer" path. By the end of the Film Frodo has made it closer to Mordor, and realized that he needs Smegol as a guide.

Stakes

Frodo's biggest choice in lord of the rings was giving the ring to the Nazgul in Osgiliath. The Stakes were that if he gave in to the Rings seduction, he would be free of the burden of carrying it, at the stake of losing everything. If he didn't give it, He would risk the ring being taken from him by either the men of Gondor or Smegol. This was an External choice as Sauron was literally maniplating him to give it to the Nazgul. However Sam saved him from making that decision by takling him to the ground.

Wikus wants a cure for his mutation but he needs help from the aliens

Obstacles

Wikus has to fight against his fellow humans (Multinational United/ MNU) and Obesanjo's gang, to get aid from Christopher Thomson.

Arc

At the start of District 9, Wikus wants to relocate the Aliens to a different site on earth, as he was assigned to do so. He didn't care much for the Aliens, he was just doing his job. By the end of the film Wikus needs to help his new friend Christopher Thompson, an Alien and his son to leave Earth. Because he has developed a kindness to the aliens and a hatred for the MNU, which was his previous job. The roles essentially reverse.

Stakes

Wikus made a choice when he decided to escape the MNU. The Stakes were that if he were to stay at the MNU Facility, he would of been harvested for his alien body parts as it would have been profitable. However if he escapes he would become a wanted fugitive, a smear story about his 'crime' would be reported on the news and be constantly hunted by everyone. This was an Internal Struggle as Wikus did not want to die.
