2D Animation, the awakening

Today we start a new subject. 2D Animation. The official beginning of things to come. Today we were given the overview of the entire class, and what we will be trying to achieve for the end of semester. We were especially shown many students prior works, to give us some inspirations to what we could achieve.

We officially start with pre-production, the brainstorming process.
this will help me start actually working on my project, and I don't know where to begin. It's possible for me to finalise my storyboard and turn it into something more polished and fun. But i may have a few doubts about making it into a final product (or at this moment anyway.)
First off the storyboard animation that I finished is more than two minutes, which is a lot of work, Second, animating the bird legs are going to be a pain (as I have stated in the past). Thirdly I kinda want to do something different because I have many stories to tell and some I want to work with.
I had an idea to revive a character I created from my childhood and create a minute long animation for him, a superhero called Tornado Man. Hes not the only character that I would like to make into something.

But we shall see in the coming week, there are pro's to sticking with my animatic. Thus spending less time planning and more time actually animating and designing.

UPDATE: I've decided to stick with my original animatic.
Why? Well I realise that this project doesn't really have a lot of time. And my animatic needs little changes. So ill stick with that. I am going to refine a lot of the characters (Except Rasper, he is fine.)

But I did write some stuff about the other idea I had. About Tornado Man. That will be used for a future project. Maybe next year.
