Who was going to voice the characters.
In our group we only had one female, which was Melissa. I took up Role of Merida, Who only had two voice-lines. So Melissa had the spot light with Elinor, Merida's Mum.
My lines were:
“I am Merida, firstborn descendant of clan Dunbroch and I'll be shooting for my own hand!”
and
"(Grunting) Curse this dress!"
For these lines, I did try and sound a bit feminine. I stood in the booth and moved my head backwards to try and raise my vocal cords.
For the first line, it kinda works
But for the second line, I had to sound angry, so my voice goes back to my original tone.
I gave my team a laugh when I added exaggerated grunts in. Those grunts were an option for those who wanted them.
